The Indian community in Ypenburg would like to organize an Indian Food Festival where everyone is welcome to enjoy delicious Indian Food.
There is a growing group of people from India living in Ypenburg. They keep in touch through meetups and social media. The Indian community wants to be more active socially and culturally and wants to give a taste of Indian food to the people of Ypenburg and surrounding areas. Food brings people together and Indian cuisine is famous all over the world. We want to show how valuable a multicultural society is and that newcomers can contribute in a fun and positive way. We aim to reach people from all walks of life.
We envisage the Food Festival to take place at a good and safe location in Ypenburg accessible to the general public. There will be food stalls offering different types of food and drinks from India. We prefer a location outside like the location where the Kermis and Circus in Ypenburg is held. This is under the assumption that weather is good. If for whatever reason this is not possible we are open to discussing other options with the Gemeente be it outdoor or indoor.
